I was testing some changes to our Carbide build on my bench system before pushing it to our fleet, when I let something stupid happen. Hot power got in the siren circuit, and I now have an open short in the circuit which blows the 20a siren fuse as soon as I insert a new fuse. I didn't see magic smoke, but I'm not very hopeful that it is salvageable. I'm going to contact Whelen on Monday and see if they'll RMA and check it, but I'm thinking I'm going to need a new box.
Anyone have a working Carbide unit they'd sell reasonably? I've already asked about the only one currently for sale here at a reasonable price. Let me know, thanks!!
