I recently aquired this light from a Facebook sale. I believe it came from a 1970’s Mack CF Baker Aerialscope tower truck that served the Boise, Idaho Fire Department for many years. It was flush mounted on the front of the cab between the headlights. When I looked at the tag on it, I saw CFF which I thought meant Crossfire. When I think of Crossfire, I think of the Mickey Mouse style light head that oscilates from side to side. When I took it apart to restore it, I saw what appears to be a set of Traffic Clearing Lights. My guess is it may have started out as a Crossfire light that may have worn out and got replaced by a set of Traffic Clearing Lights. I put this out for any of you who are more knowledgeable on these matters for to get your thoughts.
