eLightbars is pleased to introduce a New Manufacturer Direct Section.  Manufacturers who wish to participate can interact directly with the community, i.e. their customers.  Feniex Industries is the first pilot company, any nationally distributed company may request a section (subject to terms and approval).  Please stand by for additional updates and official "live" time.

To get things started I moved some key threads (leaving redirects) that might benefit from direct manufacturer comments.  Feniex is getting their accounts setup and we are finishing the permissions for manufacturers.  The manufacturers have their preference as to what they directly discuss and comment on, so these are just a loose starting point.  Please bear with us and Feniex while we get this program off the ground.

This section is up and running.  Now that the permissions are all working posts will show up without waiting for approval.

Is there going to be an official thread from feniex regarding the newer apollo light heads?

For example, has steady burn been affected?

Does it steady burn at 90% intensity, or does it dim after a while?

Will it still be compatible with external flashers?

From our understanding nothing has changed. The old single colors steady burned 6 led at a time.   I don't think they are at full intensity anyways weather flashing or steady.  As far as I know nothing else has changed just added LED.

We can consider this official. The revised Apollo F6 will still function the same as before. This time with the dual colors you are getting 100% more diodes to each color. You'll still be able to control the F6 with an external flasher if you wish. The steady burn option will not dim down after X amount of seconds like the Cannons you're referring to. Hope this helps.

Any chances of an Apollo Extreme v2 with 12 of the same colored leds? :)

How do they work with an external flasher? I've got a few that I've been unable to get to work with my ufm8.

Also, with the new revision of the Apollo flash patterens, will this travel across the T6/cannon line? I would love to be able to sync the quad flash with a mix of T3/T6/Apollo/Cannons.

Hello bullfrog- The updates have been made only to dual colors. Now all of our LED boards are all equally populated with the same amount of diodes for each color.  I believe you're trying to hint our engineers that we need an extreme v2 lighthead F12s?   If I find out anything you would be the first to know!

For external flashers- The only way to implement an external flasher with our surface mount is as simple as locating the "steady on" pattern and applying the flasher to the mode wire directly. Of course it has to be positive switching to work.

With the revision Apollo F6 nothing has changed other than it having additional diodes to the board. The Apollo F6 can still sync with our Cannons, T6, and a few selected patterns on the T3 like single slow and double slow.

To go off topic, my most favorite pattern of a paired T3 is very unique. There are (2) patterns that have different variations that alternates then goes into simultaneous flashes. Very distinctive and different for surface mounts. I encourage to buy a set and check it out! Hope this helps.

Thanks for the reply Tom! It is very much appreciated! This is why Feniex is the best, you listen and interact with your customers!

I was definitely hinting at a 12 diode extreme single color Apollo head. Even just for sh*ts and giggles, would be fun to see!

The positive switched flasher would prove to be my problem then as the UFM8 is negative switched.

As for the flash patterns, I'm sure it's been suggested, but it would be nice to streamline and have all the same patterns across the all lines. This way you could sync any lighthead with each other. The biggest issue I run into, is wanting to run several different lighthead styles and only able to sync a select few patterns. I was really hoping the new apollo quad patterns listed on the new instructions on you site would sync with T3's quad. Just a thought to pass along.

If your referring to the 2 attack patterns on the T3's, then I've definitely played with them, would love to see those across the line too! Would look badass with a T3/T6/Apollo/Cannon setup!! :D

Thanks again Tom!!!

No problem! We really enjoy having the opportunity to work directly with others in different avenues.

If you are still considering using your negative switching external flasher you can always wire one of the mode wire directly to a hot lead as constant and allow the negative wire to be triggered from the flasher.
